Active Threat / Workplace Violence Prevention & Awareness course is instructed by Certified USCCA instructors.
You will learn the best way to recognize a potential threat before it occurs and what to do if you find yourself in an Active Threat Situation. Students will get a comprehensive analysis of the data gathered from prior Active Threat situations and learn signs of a potential threat,
so the correct response protocols can by activated.
The course also includes the following topics:
Countering the threat
How to perform triage and treat the wounded
How to use the run, hide, fight methodology
How to tell if someone may be planning a mass shooting / hostile event
Recognition and response to a threat
Situational awareness
Special security considerations for schools, businesses and churches
What have we learned about active shooters / active threats
Where do we go from here

Part II is a separate course and focuses on creating a personalized emergency operations plan (EOP) and utilizing the material in Part I for practical exercises.
We will review the EOP and put it to test during tabletop exercises, short scenarios at a slow pace, and then gradually accelerating to a final exercise.
